Pole
The Butterfly Effect
The Butterfly Effect is our signature series: 1-hour pole dancing classes for everyday
women who are interested in focusing only on the art of pole dancing, and taking
advantage of the benefits of the art. The series incorporates fundamentals of pole
dancing. Students learn Pole Stretches, Strengthening Exercises, Pole Approach, Pole
Spins, Transitions, and Poses. We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced classes
for you to grow from one level to the next. (See descriptions below). Take your inner diva
through the life cycle of a butterfly...and by the end of the series, you will truly be able to
release your inner diva and watch her fly!
Experience the pole classes as they were designed; with safety and
progression in mind. Pole classes are like algebra in the sense that each
lesson builds upon the one prior. 4-week sessions also include choreography.
Conceptions
Conceptions I is our introductory class where your inner diva is conceived! In our
beginning level you will get in touch with yourself and learn basic and fundamental pole
skills.
Conceptions II is a continuation of our beginner class where you are given an
opportunity to become more comfortable with your inner diva and the new pole skills
you've learned. New skills are taught, and variations and transitions are introduced for
continuity and flow.
Students that complete level I – Conceptions I & II are called Painted Ladies.
The Painted Lady is the most wide spread butterfly species in the world
Occurring on all continents accept South American and Antarctica.
Shedding The Skin
Shedding The Skin I is our introduction to the intermediate level. We hope you are ready
to allow your pole skills to climb, literally! As your pole skills advance to new heights,
explore moving to music.
Shedding The Skin II is a continuation of our intermediate class. Choose your music
and give that everyday woman a break and let your inner diva take over! Experiment with
improvisation and allowing your movement to flow.
Students that complete level II – Shedding the Skin I & II are called Lady
Brimstones. The Brimstone Butterfly has the longest life span of all the
species.
Taking Flight
Taking Flight I is for those of you ready to fly! This is the introduction to our advanced
level where your inner diva is really given the chance to soar. Learn to use the physics
involved in pole dancing to fly around the pole and prepare for advanced inverts.
Taking Flight II is our most advanced class in our signature series. Your inner diva has
morphed through all of her stages and your body is ready for more advanced moves!
Your challenge...inverted pole skills. You can do it!
Students that complete level III – Taking Flight I & II are called Lady
Monarchs. The Monarch butterfly, though marked with bright, vibrant
colors, is poisonous to predators.
Flying High
Flying High I and II are the successors to our Butterfly Effect Signature Series. Upon
successful completion of Taking Flight II, the real challenge begins! Learn trick-to-trick
advanced pole moves and transitions, and put your core and upper body strength to the
test!
Chair
So Sexy Moves/Chair Dancing I and II
- In this sensuous movement class, learn to express your sexy self! Learn sexy
walks, hip rolls, floor work, and transitions. Great to add to your pole and chair
choreography.
- Learn chair routines, and moves to create a sexy chair dance. Instruction on
incorporating your So Sexy Moves into a chair dance routine.
Pole/Chair Combo
Once you've learned the core sexy moves and the choreography in Chair I and II, and the
successfully completed Conceptions I and II, this class is a great class to get your chair
dancing and pole dancing fix all at the same time.
Hula - on hiatus
Hula I and II
Aloha! If you can't go to the islands, bring the islands to you in this Aloha! If you can't go
to the islands, bring the islands to you in this beginner class where you will have fun
learning basic Hula in a fabulously feminine setting. Experience the beauty of this
Hawaiian art form, story telling through the beautiful arm gestures, twisting and twirling
hip movements, and rhythmic steps.
Burlesque - on hiatus
Burlesque 101
Master the art of the tease without peeling anything but your gloves. Add in a saucy
feather boa and some heels and you've got a burlesque costume. Sprinkle in some
music, a few hip shimmies, some bumps and grinds, and a lick of attitude to become
a budding burlesque beauty. This class will introduce you to the art of the tease and
burlesque with a little history, practice with classic moves, facial expressions, and
keeping attention focused where you want it. Throughout the class, we'll learn and
practice a sassy routine. Bring your below the elbow gloves, a boa, a comfortable
pair of heels that won't slip off your feet and wear whatever makes you feel sexy.
Burlesque 201
Continue your quest to master the art of the tease. Bring a brimmed hat and your
heels, and what you wear between won't much matter. This class will introduce a
new routine, and continue practice of facial expressions and attention control. Bring
your brimmed hat and heels, and wear whatever makes you feel sexy. Get ready for
the next lesson in becoming a buddying burlesque beauty.
Chairlesque
Caberet-inspired chair dancing with a touch of burlesque tease. This class will teach
you the basics of chair performance while teasing your audience of one. Bring a
brimmed hat, below-the-elbow gloves, comfortable heels (or heeled boots), and a bra
to wear over your shirt, to get the most out of the class. You'll learn some basic
moves and a routine that you can change to suit you, to the tune of "Stray Cat Strut."
(While traditional chairlesque involves peeling clothes, we'll only be removing our
gloves, hats, and outer bra).
*Minimum of 4 participants required for 4-week session classes to run.
Pole Skills
Beginner Pole Skills
Learn Beginner pole skills at your own pace. Unlike our Signature Series, these are
not 4-week sessions and there is no choreography. Focus on pole skills only.
Intermediate Pole Skills
Learn Intermediate I pole skills at your own pace. Unlike our Signature Series, these
are not 4-week sessions and there is no choreography. Focus on pole skills only.
Couples Pole - *NEW
Perfect synergy is the effect when fun, fitness, and relationship building come
together in this pole fitness class for couples. Working out together will never be the
same again!
Flutter-ins are drop-in classes (not part of a 4-week session) for women whose
schedules don’t always match up with our 4-week sessions, and/or who want to add
more variety to their fitness regimen and exotic dance experience. Most classes
are 1 hour unless otherwise noted. Purchase class cards for multiple Flutter-ins to
save! 24 Hours advance registration required!

Fit-4-Pole
Fit-4-Pole Dancing is a fitness based class which uses the pole as a true work out
apparatus to increase muscular strength and condition the body to improve poling
ability.. The class incorporates a cardio, and lower body work (stomach, legs, and
butt), as well as upper body and core work on the pole work for total body
conditioning. Preregistration required.
Fab Abs
Fab Abs is a fitness class that incorporates various fitness techniques such as kick
boxing, yoga, bands, hula hoops and of course an intense abdominal workout in
order to help build a fabulous set of abs!
Bikini Bottoms
Trim down and tone up those feminine problem areas! Renew your booty beauty
with this great workout that gets you on your way to sexy legs, gorgeous glutes, and
hula hips.
ZUMBA®
"Zumba® fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a
dynamic fitness program that will blow you away." Ditch the workout, join the party!
Cardio Go-Go - on hiatus
Calories will burn with this fun fast-paced cardio workout. These easy to follow
dance routines are unlike any work out you've ever done. The fun, sexy moves will
tone and sculpt the body by using techniques taken straight from the 1960's go-go
scene. Let your hair down, get your Go-Go on and get ready for another great
workout, PNY style!
Hottie Body Boxing - on hiatus
Get ready to kick butt! PNY's tribute to kick boxing will pump up your femme fatale
mojo. This great cardio and core workout will motivate, inspire and empower...a
tough workout for the tough cookie in you!
Hip Hop Hottie
Groove your way to the hot body you desire in this fun cardio dance class set to
energizing, familiar music. Burn calories and dance off the pounds with these high
energy moves that you can even take to the club! Have fun and get fit; be a hip hop
hottie!
XXXtreme Fitness - on hiatus
Get ready for a powerhouse of a strength workout, not for the faint at heart (pun
intended). Just say no to plateau. This class incorporates a variety of techniques
combined to continually shock your muscles into increasing upper body strength.
Workouts are a blast; both fun and XXXtremely effective!
Routine of the Month (Members Only) - on hiatus
PNY brings you another sizzling hot, fun class. Learn a new, hot pole or chair
routine each month this class is offered! Routine of the month will be a themed
class, where you will be asked to dress the part depending on the theme of the
routine.
Beginner Pole Dance - on hiatus
Practice makes perfect! Practice beginner level pole dancing routines and learn
new ones! This class is for learning beginner level routines, you will already need to
know beginner skills. Prerequisites: Conceptions I and II
Intermediate Pole Dance - on hiatus
Practice makes perfect! Practice intermediate level pole dancing routines and learn
new ones! This class is for learning intermediate level routines, you will already

from first base moves all the way to hot home run moves! Learn floor moves you

Learn to perform your chair dances for a partner in this fun and popular class.

Belly Dancing
Learn belly dancing technique & routines from Vera! Explore the wonders of the
Middle Eastern art form. Learn sensuous movements of the hips & abdomen, as
well as basic arm, shoulder and head moves.
Bootcamp Babes
Get ready to fall in line! This 60 minute, group-oriented class consists of a wide
variety of short distance running, plyometrics, agility, and strengthening drills. If this
class doesn't get your attention, nothing will!
Total Body Combo
Get ready for a fun and effective full body workout! This class combines intervals of
cardio with intervals of body sculpting and strength training to boost your fitness
levels, increase your strength, and develop leaner muscles. Burn fat, build muscle!
Power Yogalates
This fast-paced class will strengthen the core abdominal muscles while opening
joints and releasing tension. We will focus on alignment and core stabilization
exercises to improve posture and reduce pain as well as flexibility training to
improve range of motion and movement patterns. The perfect blend of exercises
from yoga & Pilates will lengthen and strengthen your body and make you feel
strong, centered, flexible and relaxed!
Hula Hooping - on hiatus
Hoop Body Sculpt
Get started on your fitness New Year's Resolution with Soolah's Hoop Body Sculpt
Class series! This popular class is a hit with those who are focused on fitness!
What a fun way to take care of yourself with weekly healthy activity. Build your core
strength, tone your body, burn 400 - 600 calories per hour, reduce your stress and
calm the mind, get a good cardiovascular workout and increase your energy while
having fun! Beginner level: learn basic hoop moves on the waist, on the hips and
with your arms. Hoops provided.
Quickies
These 1/2 hour, high energy workouts will keep you stimulated with unique and
challenging routines. Two classes can be combined for an hour fitness session, or
conveniently tag one half hour workout to the beginning or end of your other studio
classes. All classes require no prior dance experience and can be completed on a
flutter-in basis.
Bollywood Babe - On hiatus
Step up to the beat of Bhangra, an invigorating dance from Northern India that has
recently been featured in films like Slumdog Millionaire. This high energy and high
impact cardio workout is one of the most intense half-hours at A Pole New You!
Belly Dancing
Shimmy your way to a sleek and slender waistline through the sensuous art of
Bellydance. Arm, hip, and torso isolations build strength and provide an excellent
cardio workout.
Bands & Bods
It's "hard-to-resist" this total body workout! Strengthen, tone, and stretch your
muscles from head to toe using resistance bands.
FlexiFit
Dance with strength and grace by improving flexibility. Instruction of light to
moderate stretches and core strengthening techniques for better posture, sexier
moves, and elegant spins.

Instructor Training Program (ITP)
Fitness Pole Dancing is a growing phenomenon across the U.S. and the world at
large. Once you have mastered beginner, intermediate and some advanced pole
skills, it's on to Instructor Training! This training program was developed to provide
professional guidance and quality education for both budding and seasoned pole
instructors who have the ability to execute beginner, intermediate and some
advanced pole work. We offer the PFA sanctioned Discoveries Pole Dance
Instructor Certification course. It is a 12-hour course offered over 2-days. This
course has been approved for 1.2 ACE and 10.5 AFAA CEUs, and is approved by the

From the everyday woman who wishes to lose weight or learn a custom-designed
dance for her significant other, to more serious and dedicated dance and fitness
