About Us
Who We Are
A Pole New You is Frederick's only source for the most revolutionary
workout for women today. We bring fitness pole dancing into the lives
and homes of everyday women. We have studied the growing
popularity of Fitness Pole Dancing and associated classes and are
happy to allow Frederick area women to take part in the sexiest, most
enjoyable workout available. Our mission is to build a community of
confident, empowered, healthy and fit women through fitness pole
dancing. We do not train or provide professional exotic dancers.
Our Interests
We began offering classes in October 2006 under All Grooves Dance,
and have had many women express interest in taking classes and
booking parties. The demand has required us to expand our schedule
so that we have classes available during the week and on the weekend
to help meet the needs of the busy schedule of today's women. We are
interested in helping women feel empowered through movement, and
improving self-image, self-confidence, and self-esteem through
innovative fitness activities.
Highlights
The first session ever offered in Frederick, which ran for 6 weeks, made the
local newspaper within 2 weeks of its launch. Featured in the Frederick
Newspost Health & Fitness section, pole dancing was portrayed as the
difficult, yet ever sexy workout that it is. A Pole New You was launched to
answer the growing popularity and demand for these classes to be offered
in the Frederick area.
During it's first week in business, A Pole New You was contacted by WFRE,
excited to be the first radio station to spread the word. A Pole New You
partnered with 99.9 FM WFRE and 930 WFMD - AM, ads began to run on
WFRE on January 20, 2007, with a major media launch starting in the first
week of February.
A Pole New You started training instructors on January 23, 2007 to meet its
inevitable growth. PNY has a staff of 13 instructors and is still growing.
PNY classes have been offered in a variety of locations including
downtown Frederick, a local gym, and a local dance studio.
A Pole New You opened it's first studio in the Villages of Urbana in June
2008.
With more and more women finding out about our exciting programs, A
Pole New You is well on its way to helping more and more women get
back in touch with themselves, have fun, get fit, and feel sexy and
empowered.
